Yes, completely free. Room Providers (Hosts) don't have to pay anything to list a room on Cohabi. Only Room Seekers pay a small one-time fee to access contact details. This ensures hosts aren't spammed by bots or unverified users.

What is the Seeker Board and how does it work?

The Seeker Board is a free directory of room seekers across Ireland (including Dublin, Cork, Galway, etc.). Seekers can advertise what they are looking for (budget, lifestyle, move-in dates) for free, allowing room providers to search for suitable tenants proactively. It is also a great way to team up with other seekers to rent a full house share and split the rent, which is much cheaper than renting single rooms.

Is the Seeker Pass a subscription?

No. It is a one-time access fee for 7, 30, or 90 days. It never auto-renews. You pay once (starting from €2.99) and get unlimited contact access for your chosen period. All payments are secured by Stripe Technology Europe.

How does Cohabi prevent scams?

Seekers must complete payment verification before accessing any landlord (Host) contact details. This single barrier eliminates 95% of bots and rental scammers, who refuse to pay to send scam messages. In addition, landlords' (Hosts) and seekers phone numbers are protected and never shown publicly.

What documents do I need to rent a room in Ireland?

Usually, you should prepare: reference from a previous landlord, proof of funds or employment reference, and photo ID. Landlords on Cohabi appreciate verified seeker profiles as it shows genuine intent, helping you stand out.
